Advice
Our team of women business advisers will
go out into the community to meet with womens groups to answer
questions on self employment and starting a business. As the business
idea develops and more support is needed, more formal advice sessions
will be arranged.
Workshops and Seminars
Confidence building, assessing your
skills, researching a business idea - these are all topics that
we will cover in our series of workshops and seminars to help women
to start considering self employment as a real option. These will
be followed by business planning workshops and training in business
skills.
Networking Groups
We will organise group meetings throughout
the area, to give women the opportunity to meet with like minded
women. Role models will come along to these meetings to help inspire
and motivate members and speakers will be used to deliver talks
on topics of interest. We hope these groups will be informative,
interesting and fun.
Access to Finance
During the development of the business
plan, advisers will help in researching the options available
in order to raise finance for the business venture. In some cases
there may be grant funding available to business start ups.
Ongoing Support
Support will continue to be given to the new business start
ups during the first years of trading. Enterprise Havens will
offer not only business premises, but also access to outreach
support within local communities
